ASL Dolls - Layaway Deposit
Bo Bergemann original Friends & Family ASL dolls are original patent pending design. They pose with realistic body language and have quick change hands in ASL handshapes to communicate many wonderful messages you might like to share! This adorable 13" doll can speak using her hands! This is the first "Friends & Family Doll" by Bo Bergemann and she debuted along with her friend at the International Doll & Teddy Show. Alice knows ASL (American Sign Language) and with her help, you can learn some too! She has hands that quickly and easily swap out to make several hand shapes so she can say things like. . . Mom, Dad, I love you! Friends & Family are important! Class, I'm fine, I'm cool, Kitty Cat, and several other things with her first set of 6 hands. Additional sets of hands will be available in the future with this very special ASL Awareness Project by Bo.
THIS LINK IS FOR LAYAWAY PRE-ORDERS. USE OTHER LINKS TO PAY IN FULL AT THIS TIME. LAYAWAY ORDERS WILL PAY $45 SHIPPING BUT BE ALLOWED UP TO 6 MONTHS TO PAY FOR THE DOLL IN INSTALLMENTS AT A MIN OF $100 PER MONTH, PAID IN FULL ORDERS WILL SAVE THAT SHIPPING COST.
Each doll offered here will be either a 1) complete one of a kind artist doll similar to those shown priced at $795 each or 2) a Seamstress Special priced at $725 which is a basic nude BJD with face up, eyes & lashes who will arrive ready for you to clothe wearing only a wig and undies, or 3) True Basic Blank nude BJD ready for you to add paint, wig, eyes, and costuming to complete your own vision for $695. There is a 4th option. 4) You may order a Basic BJD with Face Up only for $645 (much like many of my competitors sell their dolls) without the patented ASL QuckChange Hand Set option. This is for collectors who wish only to own this adorable 13" BJD and are not interested in the ASL feature. So, option #4 will not come with additional hands but only one set of the original childish fixed hands. However, your purchase will still help support the ASL Awareness Project. Meaning you can help bless someone who is deaf or hard of hearing with any purchase of these dolls.
This sculpt is named after Alice Cogswell, the little girl who inspired Thomas Hopkins Gaullaudet to create the first American School for the Deaf. The sculpt does not look like that little girl.
This little sweetheart has a beautiful face that is quintessentially Bo Bergemann's style with big eyes, baby cheeks and chin. She is on an immature girl BJD (quality resin ball jointed doll) body original sculpted and created by Bo. Bo makes molds and casts in resin, strings up and completes your doll herself hands on to make one truly exquisite original fine art doll at a time. This one has adorable handpainted freckles. Her outfit was made by Matilda Pink and fits her perfectly. She wears the exact same size clothing and shoes as 13" Effner Darlings and Fairyland Little Fee. So she is easy to find more clothing and shoes for anytime online.
This is the first of Bo's brand new "Friends & Family Dolls" who can use American Sign Language with ease! Gauging from the overwhelming interest in these, it will be quite some time before a second sculpt is offered. So getting on the waitlist now is the best option to get your hands on one of these dolls the quickest.
Dolls are being sold in 2 resin colors. Bo's original Shimmer resin or her Brown Sugar resin tone. Shimmer is an opaque medium fair skin tone that simulates porcelain and makes for a beautiful doll! The doll into the green dress with cat ears is in shimmer resin as is the doll in the beige hand knit set with cats on it and blue trim, with brown hair and blue eyes. Brown sugar is showcased on the doll in the pink hand knit sweater set, blonde hair and headband or the doll on the far left in the photos picture three dolls saying "I Love You!"
All options will be discussed and which you want clarified before you are sent your layaway invoice once we receive your deposit. This is a non-refundable deposit to pre-order your doll. The $225 will be applied toward the purchase price of the doll you choose. If you would like all the info. first please contact me at email@example.com anytime. I'm happy to help!
